“SolarShine” – The title of a project, rather than the name of a band, it is meant to point towards a certain mood that I’m working from, and is to give “the work” a name, highlighting its priority; at a time where generally too much emphasis is placed on a performer’s visual assets. Previous works mainly consisted of instrumental ambient pieces, and over time some of those pieces began to turn into songs, complete with lyrics and vocals. And so I decided to start off this project with an album titled “In Search of the Sun”: a collection of ten songs on which lyrically I try quietly to tell a story in the background, one that is waiting to be interpreted by the listener.

Generally, my intention is to take the listener on a journey, to stimulate imagination and provide escapism for the mind – which will be even more apparent on my second album, titled “Seeking Solace in the Wind” – which is already underway – where I’ve decided to focus more on my instrumental work, with the possible inclusion of a few songs here and there.
